Legacy Performance Horses

Welcome to Legacy Performance Horses

At Legacy Performance Horses, we are committed to breeding, finding, producing and  developing a few select Reining Horse Prospects each year with the goal of  developing each one  to their full potential in the show pen and sale ring.  Following our principles, we have been  exceptionally fortunate to find and develop Lil Dreamin Magnum, standing at stud to the public  beginning in the 2016 breeding seasons.

We breed and purchase young Reining Prospects  with an eye toward outstanding athletic  ability, conformation, temperament and trainability with an end goal of producing top quality Reiners that are each able to achieve their highest potential and enhance the sport of Reining.

In collaboration with Stony Ford Ranch and Jeremy Gates, a training program, unique to each  prospect, is designed and executed with the sole aim of unlocking the horse’s full potential.   The prospect’s progress is evaluated regularly and horses are sold or enter the show pen only  for their realistic best level and goals.  To us, it is less about selling a horse and more about  matching a horse with an appropriate job and rider; where goals will realistically be achieved  and success realized.  Whether green, non-pro or professional at all levels, the match of horse with rider’s goals will help ensure success and longevity.

We are thrilled to offer Lil Dreamin Magnum for your breeding consideration.  Lil Dreamin Magnum is a 2011 Quarter Horse Stallion sired by NRHA 3 Million Dollar sire, Magnum Chic  Dream and out of Myo Starlight, NRHA money earner of +$13,000.   Myo Starlight is by Paddys Irish Whiskey, NRCHA All Time Leading Sire and full brother to Gray’s Starlight.

Bred by Spence Bell and purchased as a yearling at the NRHA sale in OKC, Lil Dreamin Magnum has been trained and shown by Jeremy Gates.  Once given the barn name of “Dimpy” by Kathy’s granddaughter and into his training program, Lil Dreamin Magnum quickly showed his potential.   Following our principles of developing each horse to their full potential, with a focus on longevity,  Lil Dreamin Magnum became a winner in the show pen.  As a 4 year old, he currently has over $41,000 in NRHA earnings with only 5 times in the show pen!   Lil Dreamin Magnum will be standing at Stony Ford Ranch for the 2016 Breeding Season and will continue to show.  Breeding is managed by Blue Chip Farms;  “where horses are bred in NY to take on the world”.   Contact Blue Chip Farms at 845-895-3030 for breeding information and contract.
